About Maadi:
A prestigious and older neighborhood that is located south of Cairo. Maadi can be divided into three main areas: Old Maadi, Zahraa Maadi and New Maadi. Each area offers various residential levels, but overall Old Maadi is the most luxurious. Maadi is known for its greenery, unique street/square planning, quietness, sophistication, and proliferation of schools, hospitals, and universities. Maadi’s key drawback is the lack of parking due to older planning standards and an increasing commercial activity across its main roads. Maadi is well known to attract expats who live in Egypt, mostly due to its safety, the presence of most foreign embassies, and the availability of culture centers and services that match the needs of most expats. Maadi has different landmarks like: Wadi Degla Reservation, Fossilized Trees Reservation, and Wadi Degla Club. Public transportation is available, and the neighborhood can be reached via Nasr road, Nile Corniche, Ring Road and the following Metro stations (Thakanat Maadi, Maadi, Hadayek Maadi).
